About: Master Stringer is an independent home-based tennis racquet stringing service in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. As I operate independently, I can offer you a comprehensive and professional stringing service (including a wide range of strings) at a significantly better price than racquet stores, sports shops and tennis clubs in the area. I have been stringing tennis racquets since 1985 and I am still an avid tennis fan currently playing at an NTRP 4.5-ish level. Click here for a full bio.
Location: I am located in central Coquitlam, an ideal location for easy access anywhere in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Burnaby, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge. I welcome customers from all areas around Vancouver. Click here for specific location details.
Service: I guarantee 24-hour turnaround times, and if you leave your racquet with me by 5pm on any day of the week, your racquet will be ready by 9pm same day. For emergencies (e.g. you broke a string in practice today and you have a big match tomorrow!), I can usually offer a while-you-wait service, but please contact me first to confirm availability. In some cases, I may be able to provide a pick-up and drop off service at a nominal additional cost.
Equipment: I personally string all my customers' racquets on a top-of-the-line electronic stringing machine utilizing computer controlled constant pull tensioning. Need help? If you can't decide what string to get, or what tension to string at, or you would like to experiment with a new setup, I can help! I have been playing competitive tennis since 1983 as a junior, and playtest all the strings that I sell, as well as many others that you might be interested in trying (including strings not easily available at local stores in Vancouver, such as Signum Pro, Kirshbaum, and Weiss Cannon's excellent line of cutting-edge Polys). And unlike some other racquet stores around Vancouver, I personally know the product that I am offering you as I have used it myself. I will take the time to discuss your game with you, what you are looking for in a new string set up, and make a recommendation that will help your game.
